Why does deeploi process my data?

What is a Why does deeploi process my data??

Data processing is necessary for deeploi to provide IT management services. The legal basis is a data processing agreement between deeploi and your employer under GDPR.

deeploi processes a limited amount of data about your work device to provide the IT services your company has contracted. Without this data, deeploi cannot configure your device, install apps, or resolve IT issues.

Why is data processing necessary?

To manage your work device, deeploi needs to know basic information about it: whether it is connected, what operating system it runs, and whether security settings are active. This is the minimum required to do the job.

For example, deeploi cannot push a software update to your device without knowing its name and current OS version. deeploi cannot confirm your device is protected without checking whether encryption is enabled.

deeploi processes your device data on the basis of a data processing agreement between deeploi and your employer. This agreement follows the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Your employer, as the data controller, determines the scope of what is processed.

Who has access to your data?

Your IT admin and the deeploi support team can see the device data described in What data does deeploi access?. No one outside your company or deeploi can access it.

Can I request more information?

Yes. If you want to know exactly what data is stored about your device, contact hello@deeploi.io with a subject line of Data access request. You can also contact your IT admin directly.
