What is a What Are the License Types??
A license type determines what IT service an employee receives in deeploi: full device management (Managed), app access without a device (Light), or no IT service at all (Not Managed).
deeploi has three license types. Assign one to each employee based on whether they have a company device and what level of IT support they need.
| License type | Who it is for | Billed |
|---|---|---|
| Managed | Employees with a dedicated company device connected to deeploi | ✓ |
| Light | Employees who need app access but have no company device | ✓ |
| Not Managed | Individuals tracked in deeploi who do not need IT management | ✗ |
Managed License
A Managed license covers the full deeploi service. deeploi handles the employee's complete onboarding and offboarding, installs and updates software on their device, provides IT support access, and manages their accounts across all apps in their bundle.
Use a Managed license for every full-time employee who uses a company-assigned device.
Light License
A Light license covers app access without device management. The employee gets access to the tools in their bundle and can reach IT support, but their device is not centrally managed or remotely controlled by deeploi.
Use a Light license for freelancers, contractors, or part-time employees who work on a personal device.
Not Managed License
A Not Managed license means the person is tracked in deeploi but receives no IT service. deeploi does not install software, manage their accounts, or provide support. Not Managed licenses are free.
Use a Not Managed license for people who appear in your HR system but do not use company resources, for example a board member or a contractor managed entirely outside of deeploi.
