Workspace Settings
Go to Settings → Workspace to connect Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 and choose how deeploi creates email accounts for new employees. You can connect one workspace. Before you connect, give deeploi admin access to your workspace:
- How do I create a deeploi admin account in Microsoft 365?
- How do I create a deeploi admin account in Google Workspace?
How Do I Check My Workspace Connection?
The workspace card shows the admin account deeploi uses and the date it connected. Open Permissions to see which access rights your workspace granted to deeploi. A missing permission shows in orange.
If the card shows a warning, click Reconnect and sign in with your admin account again:
| Warning | What it means |
|---|---|
| "[Workspace] is disconnected" | deeploi cannot manage your workspace until you reconnect. |
| "[Workspace] needs new permissions" | Some workspace actions do not run until you reconnect. |
Important
Clicking Disconnect stops changes in your workspace from syncing with deeploi. Your existing data is not deleted. The Onboarding and Offboarding tabs in Settings are greyed out while no workspace is connected.
Which Account Settings Can I Choose?
These settings appear after you connect your workspace. Click Save Changes to apply them.
| Setting | Effect | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Allow deeploi to manage workspace account setup | When on, deeploi creates the new employee's company email address and adds the groups and licenses you picked during onboarding. When off, the tab shows "You set up the account" and you create the email account yourself. | On |
| Email address format | The format deeploi suggests for new email addresses: first name or first initial, then last name or last initial. The tab shows an example with your domain. You can still change the address for each employee in the onboarding form. | firstName.lastName |
| Data sync to workspace | When on, deeploi copies employee updates to your workspace, for example department, job title, phone number, preferred name, manager, and company name. | On |
| Licenses | Licenses you pick here appear at the top of the list in the onboarding form. | None |
| Groups | Groups you pick here appear at the top of the list in the onboarding form. | None |
Licenses and Groups only appear when deeploi can read licenses or groups from your workspace.
