All three commands run as soon as the device is online. You find them under Remote Commands in the device's three-dot menu. They only appear for devices that are connected to deeploi.

For your protection, deeploi emails you a verification code before it sends any of the three commands. Enter it within 5 minutes.

On Macs, iPhones, and iPads, Reset device and Wipe device send the same erase command. The difference matters on Windows: reset uses Microsoft's own reset and reinstalls Windows, while wipe can remove Windows completely.

Use reset when a device changes hands. For the steps, see How do I reset a device?

  2. Click the three-dot menu and select Wipe device.
  3. Click Wipe device in the dialog.
  4. Enter the verification code from your email.

After the wipe, the device's detail panel shows the date its data was wiped. The device stays in your inventory. To remove it, see Should I archive or delete a device?
